Tauranga Sports are confident the return of a handful of players will give them an added boost leading into their match with Greerton Marist.
Round 9 of the Bayfair Baywide Premier Club Rugby competition sees the two sides clash fresh off respective wins.
Greerton Marist earlier this season.
Defending champions Tauranga Sports had a decisive 23-11 victory against Opotiki with Greerton accounting for Te Puna 25-8.
Tauranga's coach Mike Rogers says injuries are hampering the side at the moment, but remains confident the side can continue building momentum against a strong Greerton outfit.
"We are struggling a little bit with injury at the moment. We're hoping to get a couple of guys back this weekend which will hopefully make a difference as our results have been up and down so far this season,” says Rogers.
'It will probably be a tight game as have all our games been this year. Greerton is a good side as well so we'll just have to wait and see what happens."
Greerton coach Kane Parker knows any match against the Bayfair Baywide powerhouse is a tough challenge, and with the competition spots tightly contested he is looking forward to what his side can produce.
'Tauranga are a very clinical side with a high skill set,” says Parker.
'We as a team are like a fine wine - getting better and better as time goes on. We have been focusing on creating depth this round and hopefully our plan comes to fruition in the second round."
