Motorists travelling on State Highway 2, south of Omokoroa and north of Te Puna, on Monday are advised a manual stop/go operation will periodically be in place for a couple of weeks.
The New Zealand Transport Agency says from today workers will begin replacing a water main on the Te Puna Stream Bridge.
Stop go signs will be out near the Te Puna Stream bridge this week. Picture: File.
The bulk of the work is being undertaken within a shoulder closure between 7am and 6pm – but to minimise disruption to motorists, a periodic stop/go operations will be in place between 9am-4pm.
Speed restrictions will only be in place during the stop/go work, says NZTA, with motorists being advised to keep to the posted temporary speed limits.
The work is expected to be completed by Friday, March 28.
The NZTA would like to apologise to motorists for any inconvenience and thanks them for their patience while this important work is being undertaken.
