GST bus rolls into town

Labour leader Phil Goff took his fight against a possible rise in GST to the streets of Tauranga on Tuesday afternoon when he arrived in the city aboard the party's specially designed GST bus.
Aboard the bus are 10 other Labour Party MPs including Steve Chadwick, Moana Mackey and Darren Hughes.

Phil Goff arrived in Tauranga in a specially designed bus he is travelling on during Labour's nationwide campaign against a possible GST rise. See below for video interview with Phil about why Labour believes it is important to carry out the national campaign against a GST rise.

The group visited local radio stations, the Tauranga Community Trust Foodbank and the Citizens Advice Bureau before mixing with members of the public in Red Square.
Phil says the visit allowed him to personally talk to Tauranga residents about a possible rise in GST.
He left Tauranga at about 1pm on Thursday and travelled to Whakatane on the GST bus to continue Labour's nationwide campaign.

Shame on you Labour Party for using my taxes to pay for this bus trip. Tax rates are too high (thanks to Labour ramping them up over the past 9 years of their government, and it is disgraceful that they are now using our tax money to fund this wasteful trip. Shame on you Phil Goff

Please ask if the Taxpayer is paying for this Promo

You notice the bus has the parliamentary logo on it.This implies we the taxpayer is paying for this jaunt. Please also remind me , GST was 10% when labour first introduced this in 1984 , and who was it htat raised it to 12 1/2% a few years later.Goff was in a cabinet who signed off on the tax and also the increase.Hypocrites the lot of them .
