RD1 and Fonterra have developed a joint initiative to provide an assistance package to support Fonterra suppliers through the current economic climate.

During September and October, Fonterra suppliers can elect to spread payments on all purchases of dairy hygiene, dairy supplies, agri-chemicals, seed and animal health products from RD1 for three months interest free. To take advantage of this exclusive offer, customers simply have to advise the RD1 store, at the time of purchase, of their intention to spread payments.
In addition to this, Fonterra suppliers will automatically qualify for a 2.5 per cent rebate on all purchases in these categories through RD1. The rebate will be paid in December by cheque.
RD1's CEO David Lea says farmers can purchase any products from the five categories, 'But we ask they show their support to our preferred vendors Agriseeds, Bell-Booth, Country Mile, Dow AgroSciences, Ecolab, Elanco, FIL, Fort Dodge, Nufarm, Pioneer and Skellerup by purchasing these brands through RD1.”
