Papamoa College could hold the key to shape the future of three new New Zealand schools to be announced by Associate Education Minister Nikki Kaye in the next few weeks.
The Minister, accompanied by Health Minister and Bay of Plenty MP Tony Ryall, took a tour of one of the Bay's newest schools today, ahead of the announcement.

The politicians were provided with a guided tour of the modern facilities in an open plan classroom design with interactive technology, by principal Steve Lindsey.
Nikki is spending the next few weeks visiting newly built schools like Papamoa College, as well as schools looking to 'transform” their existing environments.
'It's really important for me to get around schools like this, to see some of the innovation,” says Nikki.

Nikki is looking for better guidance across the country, so other schools have the opportunity to renovate.
'In terms of modern learning environments Papamoa is really leading in terms of New Zealand.”
Nikki, who also had a tour of Bethlehem College earlier in the day, says she will be making her announcement on the development of three future schools soon.
