Geocaching treasure found

John Wilson from Auckland found his 'treasure' second time around when playing the high tech game 'Geocaching' yesterday at Tauranga's Cliff Road Rose Garden.
"I popped back at lunch time on Thursday and found it ok."
"I didn't swap any items, but I signed the log book."

Later in the day John found another in the CBD, which is only one of about 40, says John.
On his way back to Auckland yesterday he found another 'Geocache' north of Tauranga but in this instance found a trackable item.
Trackable items are either custom made coins or items with a dog tag. These items are moved from cache to cache and have a unique tracking number.
"I found a rubber duck with a dog tag around its neck once that had travelled from the North Pole, to the South Pole and then to New Zealand."
People who partake in 'Geocaching' are a creative bunch, says John who has found a sundial, sextant and custom made coins in the past.
The game is free to play as long as you've got a GPS.
"Go on, get involved," says John.
