Bay of Plenty sporting stars Dame Lisa Carrington, Lewis Clareburt, Hayden Wilde and Stacey Waaka are among the New Zealand athletes featured in the new-look Weet-Bix Stat Attack collection.
For the first time, the collection expands beyond rugby to celebrate sporting talent across 15 different disciplines
Tauranga-born Black Caps stars Kane Williamson and Daryl Mitchell wil also feature in the 2026 All Stars series, a media release said.
Other big sporting names include Dame Valerie Adams, Ardie Savea, Grace Nweke and Rachin Ravindra.
For Dame Lisa Carrington, who grew up in the Bay of Plenty, being included in the iconic Kiwi promotion brings back childhood memories.
“Weet-Bix was a staple in our house growing up, so being part of something that’s such an iconic Kiwi tradition is really cool,” she said.
“When kids see themselves represented, it makes them think things are possible. Hopefully having so many sports included this campaign inspires them to give something a go and find a code they love.”
The move reflects the changing sporting interests of young New Zealanders, with athletes from cricket, swimming, canoeing, athletics, cycling, basketball, football, netball and triathlon joining rugby and league players in the collection.
Sanitarium’s senior brand and activation lead Hayley Scott said today’s sporting role models come from a much wider range of codes.
“For almost 20 years, Weet-Bix has celebrated the athletes inspiring Kiwi kids. Today, those role models come from more sports than ever before,” she said.
“Rugby remains an important part of New Zealand’s sporting identity, but children are equally inspired by athletes from athletics, cricket, football, league, netball, swimming and many other codes.”
The 2026 Weet-Bix Stat Attack All Stars collection launched on August 10 and will run for 12 weeks. Promotional packs of Weet-Bix include athlete cards featuring the country’s sporting stars.
