A vehicle has crashed into the front of Woolworths in Bureta, Tauranga.

Police were called at 11.45am. They said no injuries were reported and the crash was not blocking the road.

A reporter at the scene said the vehicle was being towed from the scene and police were sweeping up glass.

A Woolworths store manager, who did name want to be named, said a customer had driven straight through the storefront.

He said the customer is fine and no staff were injured.

He said the storefront is closed while they wait for it to be assessed.

“The store is still open and customers can enter from a separate side door where employees are guiding them in.”
