Police have released the name of a child killed in a crash in the Bay of Plenty earlier this year.

Two-year-old Sakura Hall, from Mamaku, died in the two-vehicle crash on Dansey Rd, Ngongotahā Valley, on Wednesday, May 22.

Two other people were injured in the crash, which involved a rubbish truck.

Police released the toddler’s name in a statement this morning.

“Police extend their sympathies to her family and friends at this difficult time.

“The circumstances of the crash remain under investigation.”
