One person has died following a crash on State Highway 3, Ōhaupō in South Waikato on Friday afternoon.
The crash, involving two vehicles, was reported to Police at around 1.50pm.
A second person sustained minor injuries.
The road remained closed until around 7pm following the crash and motorists were asked to take alternate routes where possible.
Police thank motorists for their patience and cooperation while the road was closed.
