Fire emergency services are responding to a house fire in Mount Maunganui.
"We received a call to a house fire at 1.33pm," says Fire Emergency NZ spokesperson Hayley Prince.
"We arrived to find a small oven fire in an unoccupied house."
Hayley says the owners were not at home at the property on Oceanbeach Road.
Two fire trucks from Mount Maunganui and Tauranga were called to the fire.
"The fire has now been extinguished."
