Emergency services are at the scene of a serious two-vehicle collision on State Highway 26, Thames Road, Paeroa.
Police were notified of the crash between Paeroa and Kopu at 6.54am.
At least one person has been injured.
NZTA Waka Kotahi say due to the serious crash between Aorangi Rd and Raroa Rd, the road is closed. Allow extra time for detour.
The Serious Crash Unit had been notified and diversions are in place.
Motorists should avoid the area and allow extra time for detour.
