A man who died in a crash in the Bay of Plenty earlier this month can now be named.

Police have officially name Brody Caden Irvine as the person who died on State Highway 2, in Pukehina, on August 5.

A police spokesperson says the 23-year-old was from Tauranga.

"Police extend their condolences to his loved ones. 

"Enquiries into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing."

Anyone with information about the crash can contact their nearest police station.
