Council: “Last chance to tell us about your place”

Feedback closes 5pm, Friday June 30 for sharing your views and making a difference as part of the Western Bay's Your Place To Wahi campaign.

This is the final week people have to share their views on different aspects of the their community.

Western Bay of Plenty residents are being invited to share their views as part of Western Bay of Plenty District Council's Your Place Tō wāhi campaign.

Feedback closes 5pm, Friday, June 30, and everyone who completes all their neighbourhood's quick polls goes in the draw to win a $100 grocery voucher.

People can also tell Council about anything else that's important to you, even if it isn't included as one of the topics.

"We've already received a wide range of feedback but the more feedback we receive now, the better equipped we are to make decisions reflective of everyone as we progress key projects," says Western Bay Mayor James Denyer.

Over the past few weeks, neighbourhoods have held community events, supported by Council, where locals were able to talk about local issues affecting their neighbourhood.

'It's been fantastic to be able to get out to our communities to kōrero with residents and hear their thoughts.

'And a huge thanks to those community leaders that have spent time planning with us, gathering feedback and organising events.”

Here's how you can be a part of Your Place Tō wāhi:

Online wānanga ipurangi - head to Council's interactive website – yourplace.nz - featuring quick polls, background information and some of the history of each neighbourhood.

Hard copy pepa mārō – paper feedback forms are available at all of Council's library and service centres.

Everyone who completes all their neighbourhood's polls – online or hard copy - goes in the draw to win a grocery voucher.

Feedback closes at 5pm on Friday, June 30.
