Emergency services are responding to a crash involving a single vehicle near Ōpōtiki.
Police say that the crash on Waiotahe Valley Road was reported at around 9.38am.
"A car has crashed off the Waiotahe River Bridge," says a police spokesperson.
"The road is partially blocked while emergency services respond.
Police say that several people are believed to be injured.
A helicopter was also sent to the scene.
