State Highway 29 between Te Poi and Tauranga has reopened.
"All slips in this area have been cleared, and the road is now open, with a small section of road under a temporary speed limit,' says a Waka Kotahi NZTA spokesperson.
The highway over the Kaimai Range was closed early on Sunday morning between SH28, Te Poi and Cambridge Rd, Tauriko. due to multiple slips.
Motorists were advised to take alternative routes via SH36 or SH2 while repairs were made by contractors.
