Police are releasing the name of a man who died in a crash on State Highway 2, Athenree Gorge on January 2.

"He was David Lynn Hart, aged 73," says a police spokesperson.

"Police extend their sympathies to his family and loved ones.

"Enquiries into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing."
