Update, 10.30am: Police can confirm that the 80-year-old man reported missing from Huntly on Friday has been located safe and well.
The 80-year-old left his address in Huntly at 2pm on Friday to travel to Ōmokoroa, Tauranga and family were concerned when he didn't arrive by 5pm.
Earlier, 6.50am: Have you seen David or his vehicle? Police are asking for anyone who has seen David or his vehicle to contact them.
The 80-year-old left his address in Huntly at 2pm on Friday to travel to Ōmokoroa, Tauranga - a trip he has done a number of times before.
David was expected to arrive by 5pm, however hasn't reached his destination and his family are concerned for his welfare.
He is driving a 2006 white Nissan Bluebird Sylphy hatchback, registration JJF722.
The vehicle was last seen about 4pm on Friday January 6 on Kereone Rd in Morrinsville, travelling east towards State Highway 27 and Tauranga.
David is Caucasian, 173cm tall (5'8"), and was wearing blue jean shorts and a white t-shirt.
Police would like to hear from anyone who may have seen David or his car after 4pm.
