Katikati Twilight, the concert scheduled for Saturday, January 7, has been cancelled due to flooding in the planned venue.

"We're absolutely gutted, we had to cancel last year because of Covid-19 so this is really disappointing," says event publicity manager Jenni Wilson.

The event was set to feature an NZ Eagles tribute show, with Katikatz Dixie Band as the supporting act.

Jenni adds event organisers are "currently working through" solutions to potentially offer a refund to those who purchased a ticket.

"The ticket says non-refundable, but we think it would be a nice gesture if we are able to offer a refund."

Katikati Concerts have plenty more planned for the summer season according to Jenni, so concert goers will still have the chance to listen to live music under the sun.

"We have the Country Rock concert coming up on Saturday, January 28, and the Cool Jazz on Saturday, February 11. Those are still going ahead at this stage so people can still look forward to those."

Jenni says the best way to keep up to date with ticket refunds and planned events is on the Katikati Concerts website, http://www.katikaticoncerts.co.nz/.
