One person is in hospital with serious injuries following a vehicle collision in Coromandel on New Year's Eve.
Police report that at about 10.30pm on Saturday a pedestrian was hit by a car near Coroglen.
The person suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to Auckland hospital by the Auckland Westpac Rescue Helicopter.
