State Highway 25B / Thames Coast Road is blocked following a collision between two vehicles.

"It happened around 5:40pm at Te Puru," says a police spokesperson.

"One person has serious injuries and another has moderate injuries."

According to Google Maps, traffic is moving slowly in the area.
