A caller to SunLive reports that a fallen tree is blocking both lanes of State Highway 36 at Pyes Pa.

"I had left hazards on to prevent anyone from my side from crashing into it due to it being hard to see," says the SunLive caller.

"People on the other side left, leaving no warning from the north side.

"Unfortunately, due to [them leaving], a man drove into the tree at around 90 km per hour.

"Luckily he was not injured and neither was anyone on the south side of the tree."

The caller says the crash could have been avoided if drivers had stayed on the other side of the tree to warn any oncoming traffic.

Police have been contacted about the fallen tree.
