The southbound lane of Te Puke Highway will be closed from Monday, November 28 between Poplar Lane and Welcome Bay Road, to carry out road repairs and resealing.
Works are expected to take two weeks, weather dependent.
Tauranga City Council say this is to allow the southbound lane to be resealed following the installation of a new water pipe for the Waiāri Water Supply Scheme.
A detour for people travelling towards Te Puke from Tauranga/Pāpāmoa will be in place along Tara Road, Parton Road, and Bell Road.
Traffic from Te Puke towards Tauranga will continue as usual, with speed restrictions in place.
"We apologise for any inconvenience and thank the community for their patience," says a Tauranga City Council spokesperson.

NOT AGAIN. What is Waka Kotari doing. Why cannot they do it once, complete the job and not inconvenience the public. OK got it, not in their brief. Inconvenience the public as much as possible!
