UPDATE 3.31pm: A car has crashed into a Tauranga building on Cameron Road.

A local firefighter says the occupant of the vehicle has been taken out of the building safely.

EARLIER 2.59pm: A caller to the 0800 SUNLIVE news hotline says a car has crashed through the window of Guthrie Bowron.

"Emergency services are at the scene."
