Emergency services are attending the scene of a crash on 15th Avenue, Tauranga.

"Police were advised of a crash on 15th Avenue, between Cameron Road and Devonport Road, at 11.50am," says a police spokesperson.

"There were two cars involved."

The westbound lane of 15th Ave is temporarily blocked but should reopen soon.

Tauranga Transport Operations Centre report that the minor crash involving two vehicles is being attended by police and ambulance.

"Minor injuries reported to two children in one of the vehicles," says a Tauranga Transport Operations Centre spokesperson.
