Tauranga Transport Operations Centre is reporting that there is a technical issue with the traffic signals at Chapel Street.

"A fault has caused the signals to go to Flashing Amber,' says a Tauranga Transport Operations Centre spokesperson.

A signal technician is en route to the location.

Motorists are advised to exercise caution at the intersection.

Normal give way rules will apply while signals are off or flashing amber.
