Emergency services are at the scene of a vehicle crash on State Highway 25 between Whangamata and Waihi.

The crash scene, located about 2 km east of Waihi is now under stop/go traffic management.

Police say they received a report of a car colliding with a power pole on SH25, Waihi at around 1.40am on Saturday October 19.

"The road was partly blocked while the scene was cleared and power line restored," says a police spokesperson.

The road was closed between Clarke St and Gilmore St while the scene was cleared

Motorists are advised to expect delays and to pass the scene with care.

Police say they received no reports of any injuries.
