Properties in Welcome Bay are without power following a vehicle striking a power pole.
Police were notified of a single vehicle crash on Waitaha Road around 7.30pm where a car has collided with a power pole.
"There are no reports of injury or [traffic] blockage," says a police spokesperson.
PowerCo are reporting that 151 properties in Welcome Bay have had a power cut due to the vehicle striking the pole.
The power is reported to have gone off at 7.34pm.
Power is estimated to be restored by 11.45pm.

Yet another power pole added to the weekly tally... Why was it hit? Just another 'accident'... As usual no accountability, another texting driver?
