Police are responding to a serious crash on SH30, Kinleith.

"A truck has overturned, blocking he road between Whakamaru Road and Tram Road," says a police spokesperson.

"The road has been closed to allow emergency services to attend.

"Traffic management has been put in place."

Motorists are being advised to avoid the area if possible, or to seek an alternate route.
