A SunLive reader is reporting that emergency services are attending the scene of a crash just north of Katikati on State Highway 2.

"It's a one-vehicle crash between Tuapiro Stream bridge and Tanners Point Road," says the SunLive reader.

"Traffic is still moving but it is down to one lane.

"Police, an ambulance and a fire truck are at the crash."

Police say that the crash occurred about 2.30pm when a vehicle hit the metal barrier on the side of the road.

"No injuries, but road down to one lane while waiting for the tow wagon," says a police spokesperson.
