A vehicle has crashed over a bank in Gate Pa.

At 4.15pm police received a report of a crash involving a single vehicle on Sheppard Street, Gate Pa.

"The street was blocked for a time while emergency services responded," says a police spokesperson.

Police say it appears a car had left the road.

One person was assessed by ambulance staff at the scene, and it's understood they were not transported to hospital.

Police are making enquiries in to the circumstances of the crash.
