Contractors are on their way to clear a slip on State Highway 29 in the Kaimai Range.

A SunLive reader says there is a small slip near Ruahihi road on SH29 on the Tauranga side the Kaimai Range.

"Traffic is sorting itself by going either side alternating but both sides are backing up as it is down to one lane," says a SunLive reader.

"No one on the scene yet but Waka Kotahi has been informed and there were people stopping and phoning."

A Waka Kotahi NZTA spokesperson says that contractors are on their way to the scene of the slip.
