UPDATE 6.02pm: The intersection of Eleventh Ave and Waihi Road is now clear, according to Google Maps live traffic reporting.

The intersection was previously blocked following a two vehicle crash reported to police at about 4pm.

EARLIER 4.21pm: Emergency services are responding to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Eleventh Ave and Waihi Road.

The intersection is currently blocked, and a police spokesperson says there is "no indication of injuries".

A caller to the 0800 SUNLIVE hotline says the crash has caused a "significant" amount of traffic to build up in the area.

"It looks like one lane is blocked, cars are backed up and I saw about three police cars zoom past," says the caller.

According to Google Maps live traffic reporting, traffic is moving slowly in the area.
