The car that reportedly crashed into a Pāpāmoa shopping centre this morning was done by "total accident," according to Plum Organics owner Andy Knorr.

"It was an accident that happened. No one was hurt thankfully," says Andy.

"It was not a malicious act, they weren't trying to ram raid or anything. I think it was just someone who was a bit confused in their car."

Andy adds the incident has caused the shop to shut its doors temporarily.

"We can't operate at the moment. Our fridge is across the floor and we have a large hole in their wall."

Regional Manager of Bay Radiology Nicola Daisley says at the time of the incident, everyone on site was "understandably shaken".

"We commend everyone for their quick action. We are grateful no staff or customers were injured," says Nicola.

"Bay Radiology continues to operate out of the facility, with minimal disruption to our services."

The incident occurred around 9.30am on Gravatt Road on Tuesday, September 27 according to a police spokesperson.

"There were no reported injuries," says the police spokesperson.
