Emergency services are at the scene of a vehicle crash in Welcome Bay.

"Police were advised of a single car crash at the intersection of Welcome Bay Road and Reid Road at 11.50am," says a police spokesperson.

A Sunlive reader reports seeing "lots of police and a fire engine" heading along Welcome Bay Road.

Police say that the driver - the sole occupant - of the car is with Ambulance staff but the seriousness of any injuries is unknown at this stage.
