What's on today?

The Tauranga Food Show is on at Trustpower Arena Baypark from 10am-5pm on both Saturday and Sunday August 27 and 28. Tickets are available at the door – adults $15, SuperGold Card $10, children 13 and under cost $5.

On display in The People's Gallery - Toi ka rere until September 11 is the Tauranga Girls College Annual Exhibition - Artful Wahine. A range of students from Tauranga Girls College are showing their own original artworks with any subject in any medium.This exhibition is about participation and the opportunity to display their artwork in a safe and supportive environment. Open 10am-3pm weekdays and 10am-2pm weekends.

Speech Act Theory with special guest Ayla Wesley are performing at the Jam Factory tonight. Speech Act Theory is the Auckland based alt-electronica project of producer/musician Pete Hickman. Initially conceived as a studio project in late 2019, the concept was to fuse electronica and live instruments together. This has now developed into a high-energy five-piece live band with live drums, guitars and powerhouse vocals to create something truly alternative Come and hear Tauranga based indie folk/rock artist, Ayla Wesley who is passionate about sharing her sound and stories through her song writing.

Head along to the Mount Sports Centre from 3pm - 5pm and 6pm - 8pm today for a Roller Disco. All ages and abilities are welcome. Skates are available to hire so get together some of your family and friends.
