The Self Righteous Brothers say that playing at Jack Dusty's is always a bunch of fun. Come and join Derek and Nigel from 3pm - 6pm as they head out with an eclectic selection of blues, country, folk, jazz and anything else that takes their fancy. Expect stripped-back takes on Kokomo tunes, a few Bob Dylan, Guy Clark and John Prine songs, some old Delta blues and early rag-time, all with harmonies, some groovy upright bass and a dash of slick and sparkling acoustic guitar. This morning hundreds of cars will be on the road and on display across the country as part of the Vintage Car Club of New Zealand's National Day and effort to fundraise for local cancer societies. The car show in Tauranga will start 10.30am at the BOP Vintage Car Club clubrooms venue at Cliff Rd – and, with a food truck on-site, you can tuck in while enjoying New Zealand's motoring heritage.

On display in The People's Gallery - Toi ka rere until September 11 is the Tauranga Girls College Annual Exhibition - Artful Wahine. A range of students from Tauranga Girls College are showing their own original artworks with any subject in any medium.This exhibition is about participation and the opportunity to display their artwork in a safe and supportive environment. Open 10am-3pm weekdays and 10am-2pm weekends.
