Cambridge Road open following crash

UPDATE 7.04PM: Cambridge Road is now open.

The road was closed earlier following a crash near the intersection of State Highway 29.

Emergency services were called to a two-vehicle crash around 6pm.

The road was closed while emergency services cleared the scene.

Tauranga City Council reports the road is now clear.

UPDATE 6.30PM: Cambridge Road near State Highway 29 has been closed following a two-vehicle crash.

Emergency services are at the scene of a crash between a ute and another vehicle.

A SunLive reader reports that other drivers who pulled over at the scene rushed to hold up the side of one of the crashed vehicles which had overturned, to assist someone who had become trapped.

It is unknown at this stage whether there are any injuries.

Motorists are advised to expect delays and take an alternate route along SH29 and Route K.

There has been a two-vehicle crash on Cambridge Road in Bethlehem.

The collision is near the intersection of Cambridge Road and State Highway 29.

Emergency services at the scene.

It is unknown at this stage whether there are any injuries.
