SH25, Coromandel remains closed due to slip

State Highway 25 remains closed to a a large slip.

The highway is expected to remain closed between Coromandel and Te Rerenga all day on Thursday, July 28.

"Response crews are again hopeful of opening one lane by this evening," says a Waka Kotahi NZTA spokesperson.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area.

"Delay your journey or consider an alternative route."

No detour is available. Motorists are advised to consider using SH25/25A via Tairua and Kopu to Thames.
