UPDATE, 12.25PM. There are traffic delays on Maunganui Road between Bayfair and the Hewletts Road flyover, following a vehicle crash, says a SunLive reader.

"Traffic is backed up both ways, looks like one lane is blocked on both sides of the road with significant delays.

"Fire and Police are on the scene," says the SunLive reader.

Earlier 2.05pm: There has been a vehicle collision on Maunganui Road, near Omanu.

Waka Kotahi NZTA advise there has been a vehicle crash on Maunganui Road between Golf Road and Spur Avenue.

Police were called to the intersection of Spur Road and Maunganui Road about 13.47pm, following a two-car crash.

"Two people have minor injuries," says a Police spokesperson.

"Two tows were arranged."

"Due to a crash partially blocking, expect delays through this area and pass the scene with care," says an NZTA spokesperson.
