The 'Queen of Mean' female fight league is happening today in the Te Puke Memorial Hall. The all female fight night is featuring the best female Kickboxing and Muay Thai talent from around New Zealand. Headlining the main event are Wendy Talbot from City Kickboxing versus Michaela Jenkins from South Island Lee Gar. For more information click here

The Farmlands Co-operative Baywide Premier Men's Senior Club Final and Western Bay Men's Senior Local Club Final is what everyone is waiting for with Mount Maunganui playing Te Puna at Blake Park. The Development game kicks off at 12.45pm and the Premier game is at 3.45pm.

Tauranga Sports are up against Greerton Marist in the Farmlands Co-operative Baywide Colts Club Rugby Final.

On display across two galleries at Tauranga Historic Village is the Stitch-a-Plenty - the 2022 National Embroidery Exhibition for ANZEG - the Association of New Zealand Embroiderer's Guild. Being held in conjunction with ANZEG's Biennial Conference and National Embroiderers' School, the Exhibition includes four judged sections - Contemporary, Traditional, Founders and Young Persons', with three of these being open to all embroiderers and textile artists. The works are diverse, encompassing original design and innovation, using predominantly textile and stitch. Come and check this out at The Incubator Gallery and The People's Gallery - Toi ka rere. The exhibition is open daily from 10am - 4pm until August 14.
