Enquiries into the circumstances of a crash that occurred early on Sunday morning in Eastern Bay of Plenty are ongoing.
Police attended a single-vehicle crash on State Highway 35 about 2.30am on Sunday.
"One person was reported to have serious injuries and we understand was airlifted to hospital," says a Police spokesperson.
"Enquiries into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing."
