As well as a vehicle crash in Welcome Bay, there have been two minor traffic incidents occurring around Tauranga, one near Papamoa and one on Cameron Road.

Police report that two vehicles lost control - "'spun out' - on State Highway 2/Bruce Road. This was reported to Police at 7.35am.

"No injuries are being reported," says a Police spokesperson.

Police advise that traffic in the southbound lanes is affected while the incident is being resolved.

There has also been a vehicle crash on Cameron Road between Twelfth Avenue and Fourteenth Avenue.

"This seems to be a fairly minor incident in which a car has ridden up on to the median," says a Police spokesperson.

"There are no injuries reported and no blockages. Council have been advised, to make repairs to a sign."

An earlier serious crash involving a car and a motorcycle on State Highway 2 near Matata has resulted in SH2 being closed.
