A car fire in Maungatapu has been quickly extinguished by a fire brigade sent to the scene.
"We were advised at 6.05pm that a car was on fire on Maungatapu Road," says a Police spokesperson.
Police say that there doesn't appear to have been anyone with the car when Police arrived.

Police received a report of a three car nose-to-tail crash on Te Awanui Drive at 6.35pm.
"No injuries and all the cars were reported to be driveable," says a Police spokesperson.
It's been a busy afternoon and evening for emergency services responding to traffic incidents.
A serious crash on Friday afternoon on State Highway 2 at Whakamarama resulted in the road being closed, and one person being transported to hospital in serious condition.
State Highway 29 was also closed earlier due to a crash between Cambridge Road and Sh29/36 roundabout near Tauriko.
On Friday morning, a cyclist died following a crash between a vehicle and a cycle in Papamoa.
