11am: Update: All lanes are now open at the Tauriko roundabout following a two vehicle crash.

Emergency services are still on scene. Some delays may still be experienced while congestion clears.

Earlier, 10.15am: There has been a vehicle crash near Tauriko.

Police were advised at 10.05am that two cars had collided at or near the intersection of State Highway 29 and State Highway 36.

"Fortunately nobody has been injured and an ambulance is not required," says a Police spokesperson.

Tauranga Transport Operations Centre advise that the southbound land towards Tauriko is blocked and delays can be expected until the scene is cleared.

There is a traffic congestion tail back from Tauriko roundabout to Barkes Corner.

Motorists are advised to exercise caution passing the scene and emergency services are at the scene.

Towing has been requested for one of the cars.
