Emergency services are at the scene of a vehicle crash on State Highway 29 on the Kaimai Range.

A SunLive reader reports that a a car with a trailer attached is on its roof half way down the Kaimai Range on the Matamata side.

One lane is blocked and traffic is slowly moving.

The crash occurred just before 4pm," says a SunLive reader at the scene.

"A fire truck is just arriving on the scene now. Looks like no one was seriously injured. Police on scene, towtruck and firetruck were on way up the hill as we were coming down towards Tauranga."

"There is a huge traffic build up."

Police say they were called to a report of a crash on SH29 in the Lower Kaimai Range about 3.40pm.

"A vehicle had rolled and was blocking on lane going east. It doesn't appear anyone was injured," says a Police spokesperson.

NZTA advise that due to the crash west of Hanga Rd, eastbound lanes are blocked.

"Expect delays through this area and pass the scene with care," says an NZTA spokesperson.
