4pm update: Both southeast bound lanes are now open on the Tauranga Eastern Link after a previous accident.

Motorists are advised that caution is required due to extensive centre barrier damage.

Some delays may still be experienced as traffic congestion clears.

Earlier: 3.05pm: There has been a vehicle crash on the Tauranga Eastern Link between Baypark and Papamoa.

Due to the crash between Sandhurst Dr and Bruce Rd, the southeast bound lane is blocked and traffic congestion is forming.

Police received a report of a car hitting a barrier about 3pm.

Motorists are advised to expect delays and pass the scene with care.

An ambulance has also been called to the scene, although Police say there are no serious injuries.
