A car has crashed into a house in Welcome Bay this evening.

A SunLive reader has messaged us to say a vehicle has crashed into a house in the Tauranga suburb.

"It looks pretty crazy."

Another reader says a car went through a garage.

A police spokesperson says they received a reported of a single vehicle crash at 7.15pm.

"Police, Fire and Ambulance responded, no road blockages were reported and our file has no notes of injuries."

The owner of the household has noted that the driver had missed a corner.

"The driver was speeding and missed the corner, which has massively damaged our home."

Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
