A vehicle has hit a power pole in Te Puna.

Emergency services are arriving at the scene of the crash on Te Puna Road.

A SunLive reporter at the scene says Te Puna Road is blocked off.

The crash is near the corner of Te Puna Station Road and Te Puna Road.

"We received a report of a car that hit a power pole and went off Te Puna Road just after 8am," says a Police spokesperson.

"The sole occupant was out of the car and reportedly has minor injuries.

"We advise motorists to follow the direction of emergency service staff at the scene."

Just another day for an unsuspecting power pole to be hit in the BOP. Again with no explanations (probably mobile related), or follow up on report outcome.. Feels like power poles should get their own column in the paper as this happens so often!
