Emergency services are responding to a serious crash on State Highway 25 between Thames and Coromandel.
Police were notified of the single vehicle collision on Manaia Rd at 12.30pm, says a spokesperson.
'Enquiries are ongoing and police are still at the scene.”
The highway is closed at the intersection of Te Kouma Rd, south of Coromandel, Waka Kotahi says on social media.
'Follow directions of emergency services on-site, delay your journey or be prepared for a long detour.”
